Boat trips through the enclosed Tua Valley
The serene waters of the Tua reservoir invite you to discover the valley from the river, a very different perspective from the one you get from the roads and viewpoints. From the quays and landing stages near the mouth of the Tua, boat trips set off that glide between classified vineyard slopes, through a deep, rugged valley where nature reigns.
One of the most popular options is the cruise in a traditional rabelo boat linking Pinhão to the mouth of the Tua, revealing landscapes that cannot be seen any other way and sometimes accompanied by a Port wine tasting. There are also shorter routes, ideal for families wanting to experience the river up close.
With the river mirroring the slopes, this is one of the best complements to a visit to the walkways, uniting water, vine and the silence of the Tua Valley Regional Nature Park.
